Why Getting Licensed Matters
If you want to work in the UK private security industry, holding the correct licence is a legal requirement. The Security Industry Authority (SIA) regulates the industry and ensures that anyone working in security roles is fully trained, qualified, and vetted. Without the right licence, you cannot work as a Door Supervisor, Security Guard, CCTV Operator, or in other regulated positions.

Types of SIA Licences
Door Supervisor Licence
The most popular licence in the industry. This qualification allows you to work in venues such as bars, pubs, clubs, festivals, and events, as well as many other security roles.

How to Apply for an SIA Licence
Once you've successfully completed your training course with us:
We'll provide your official certification.
You can then apply directly to the SIA online.
The SIA will carry out background checks (criminal record & identity).
Once approved, your licence is valid for 3 years.
